In March, 2007, our daughter was married at Luckett Lodge in Brandon, Mississippi, a facility managed by VIP Grand Events in Jackson.  Event planner Susan Smith did an excellent job in all phases of our planning and execution of the rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony and reception party.

Susan’s talents and considerable experience were evident throughout the entire wedding planning process.  We would like to express our appreciation to her for her thoughtfulness and the careful attention to detail she demonstrated.  Her kind consideration of our needs and last minute changes was most helpful to us.  It was a wonderful relief to have Susan at my “beck and call” during this time.

I would eagerly recommend Susan’s engagement for the management of large or small events of this kind and look forward to working with her again.

"Perfect wedding experience "

We truly had the perfect wedding experience at Luckett Lodge. It has been 10 months and we still have friends and family complementing us on such a superb event, from the facilities, to the food, and most especially the service. I was so worried about a stressful day and it just did not happen.

The day was smooth and seamless and passed much too quickly. Everywhere we turned there were friendly staff more than happy to help or answer any question. And, finally, because the setting is so spectacular, the photos are unbelieveable! We have and will continue to recommend Luckett Lodge to everyone we know who is planning a wedding.

Michael and I really enjoyed having our wedding at Luckett Lodge! Everything was beautiful and the staff were all pleasant and helpful. We really appreciate all the accommodations that were made for us and the handling of the details, such as moving the flowers from the chapel to the reception. The outdoor setting was beautiful and the grounds were well groomed. The environment was peaceful and serene. Our photos in the chapel, outdoors, and in the lodge are gorgeous!!!!! "Words really cannot describe "

When I saw Luckett Lodge and the chapel, my first thoughts were "This is it! T  his is the setting of my dreams!"   Right away, Susan started helping us get organized and find the perfect vendors.  As the wedding got closer, it was so wonderful to know that the staff at was only a phone call or e-mail away, and we bombarded them with questions! Still, they were so helpful and patient.  They shielded us from all the logistic issues and allowed us to focus on our wedding and guests!  They are so detail oriented, organized and experienced, that you can count on them to think of everything! Our wedding was PERFECT!  Words really cannot describe how breathtaking the scenery was, and we are still receiving compliments from family and friends about how gorgeous everything was!  Sincere thanks to Susan and to the VIP Grand Events staff- you all did an amazing job!"

"The reception last Saturday evening was perfect"

Dear Susan,
I don’t even know where to begin. You have been so helpful to Megan and me since that December day we first sat down with you to discuss the possibility of having her wedding reception at Luckett Lodge. I realized early on in this planning that we were in very capable hands and that you were just as interested as we were in things going well. I can’t tell you what a relief that was – knowing that you would see to every detail and you did just that.

The reception last Saturday evening was perfect. It was everything Megan (and I) dreamed it would be, but so much more because of your attention to detail. You were everywhere that nigh; seeing to it that Tom and I had something to eat and drink, handling the timeline of the evening, knowing at all times where the key people were when we needed them for the cutting of the cake, the bouquet toss- everything. And on top of that the food was delicious. Friends and family are still calling to tell us what a fun party it was and how good the food was.

Thank you, also, for setting the Lodge up for Megan and Carter, Vickie got a text message from Megan around midnight saying how great it was. Thank you for going the extra mile and setting it up for them.

The reception would not have been the success it was if you and the staff had not done all that you did, so we thank you! You definitely have a gift and we were blessed to be on the receiving end.

"Dinner was really DELICIOUS"

I wanted to let you know how much I appreciate all you did to make my wedding reception so beautiful. Your suggestion for our entrance was really great. I wouldn't have thought of that. It's almost like you've done this before. Ha! Everyone enjoyed their dinner and your staff was very nice and accommodating. I really like your ranch salad dressing. I would love to know how to make that. And those glasses were adorable. Are those available locally?  Again, thanks for everything. We had a wonderful time.

"Luckett Lodge is most relaxing and enjoyable"

What a great place for our Superintendents’ Meeting. This was the perfect setting for a two day meeting with 70 individuals who typically do not work in offices. The atmosphere at Luckett Lodge is most relaxing and enjoyable. The food was excellent with outstanding service. My compliments to your whole staff. Everyone was friendly and totally accommodating. I just wanted to thank you for everything. The wedding was absolutely beautiful, and I'm so glad you thought of having the wedding on the porch. I think I liked it better than my original plan! Doug and I were so thrilled with how everything turned out, and it was such a relief to know that the little details were taken care of while I was getting pictures taken. Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks for making my day perfect! I've had so many compliments on the food and the site, and I would absolutely recommend you guys to anyone!

Just wanted to let you know that this wedding and reception were fantastic! You did a superior job at coordinating this event! I was a bridesmaid and seen in action all your hard work.....Lindsay was such a beautiful bride. The lodge is perfect for weddings and the grounds were great! I was especially touched at how you handled the situation with the flower girl rose petals and the top topper that never made it.....you took charge and took care of it all and calmed Lindsay's nerves (we thank you for that). The cake was perfect even without the intended topper, the flowers were a spectacular touch! Thank you again for a job very well done!
